YOUTH ON A MISSION

Youth On A Mission is a youth group located in the Sunland-Tujunga community and made up of middle school and high school students. Youth On A Mission provides young people the opportunity to engage themselves in their community through various activities. As a group they will participate in a wide range of events including: community service projects, issue related conferences and summits, and take trips throughout North America. The types of youth that participate in this group want to work together to build a strong community, express their own views, and develop leadership skills for their future. Youth on the Real is a Youth group, which aims to empower youth through the belief that strong communities are built by focusing on the assets and capacities of youth. As well as empowerment the youth group offers alternative activities such as nature hikes, clippers games, fashion shows, and yachting trips.

Welcome to Youth on the Real (Realities of Education and Achievements in Life) a youth group located in Panorama City, the youth group is a new and ever growing youth led community organization. The goal of Youth on the Real is to empower young adults in taking pride in their communities and being part in a positive direction for the future. The youth group includes alternative activities such as nature hikes, clippers games, fashion shows, community clean-ups and yachting trips, planning community activities and fundraising for the youth group.

YOUTH IN ACTION (YIA)

Youth in Action is a youth group that produces a weekly television show currently airing on VHTV-19. The studio is located on the campus of Verdugo Hills High School. Currently, YIA is viewed by an estimated 35,000 homes in the Media One area, which includes Sunland, Tujunga, Lake View Terrace and Sylmar.

Youth in Action is a new, hip, socially conscious program aimed at understanding the perspectives of today’s teenagers. Unlike any other talk show hitting the air, YIA inspires members of the community by providing youth and their parents insight into the world as youth see it and live it. Topics vary from Racism, Self Esteem and Music Influence to Relationships, Violence, Drugs, Alcohol, Sex, Peer Pressure, Grades, Teachers, Family Values, Religion, and more.
